This course extends students' knowledge of and approach to interactivity, and expands their skills established in Interactive Art I. It integrates learning, research and project production to further explore the modes and methods of interaction, and examine the roles of interactivity in new media/computational/emerging art, design, and culture. With the examples of interactive works in these different areas, it focuses on conceptual, creative and aesthetic aspects of interactivity. Through the project-driven development of concepts, technical skills, knowledge, and critical thinking, students build up a nuanced practical insight into interactive media, and position their creative work in that context.
